QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial production machining using CNC machining equipment/systems.
  • Punctuality, dependability, safety, and process improvements.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills across all levels.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • High school diploma or trade school diploma.
  • 5+ years of related experience or equivalent.

Desired:

  • Experience in programming.
  • Technical degree in manufacturing, machining, programming, or equivalent.

Responsibilities
  • Use general knowledge regarding CNC machining, machine shop theory, and shop mathematics along with Twigg procedures to build quality components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, routing instructions, and specifications to determine the dimensions and tolerances of parts to be produced.
  • Follow routing instructions and understand order of operations to be performed.
  • Perform preliminary equipment checks to prepare for production.
  • Perform set-ups using set-up sheets and drawings.
  • Set tools, offsets, compensations, and controls.
  • Monitor machine feed rate, speed, depth and angle of cut during operations.
  • Use precision measuring equipment to ensure all details are produced to meet tolerances.
  • Contact Quality Engineering for first-piece inspection and make adjustments if necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation at all times.
  • Program equipment by entering instructions including zeros and reference points.
  • Document activities by completing production and quality logs via station tablets.
  • Other duties as assigned.
