POSITION DESCRIPTION

Uses advanced technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment. Performs all duties associated with the setup of a variety of production equipment to produce quality products. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC to join our dynamic manufacturing team.

JOB SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Skill and a basic knowledge of tooling practices and applications
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of CNC machinery and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Advanced level computer skills
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma in or equivalent education and experience
  • Certifications preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 years of technical experience using mechanical, electrical and hydraulic skills

Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting up and preparing CNC machines for production runs
  • Program and input data into CNC machines
  • Instructs, monitors and communicates requirements for safety, quality and production
  • Works closely with engineers and possibly outside vendors to resolve complex process

or equipment issues in a cost effective and timely manner

  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Report any defects or issues to the supervisor/manager
  • Assist in the routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
