About your role: As a CNC Manufacturing Technician at GATE Space, you will be responsible for the CAM programming and operation of our 5-axis turn mill machine to manufacture components for aerospace applications. You’ll play a key role in our in-house manufacturing activities, while supporting the design and assembly team. This hands-on role requires relevant work experience and offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge propulsion development in a fast-paced environment, supporting the full manufacturing process for internal development and customer projects. Your primary tasks: Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and machining instructions to ensure correct execution CAM programming in Siemens NX CAM Set up, operate, and monitor a 5-axis CNC turn-mill center (DMG Mori CTX 800 Beta TC) for production of aerospace components Perform in-process measurements and inspections to verify tolerances and surface quality, incl. CMM programming and operation Conduct machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a safe, organized work area Manage the tool database and the surrounding support equipment (e.g. tool presetter) Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize machining strategies and resolve production challenges Document work processes and contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing workflows Qualifications: Completed technical training (e.g., machinist apprenticeship, technical school, or equivalent experience) Strong focus on precision, safety, and reliability 6+ year experience with the use of CAM software (e.g. Siemens NX) 6+ years experience operating CNC turning and milling machines (5-axis) Experience in tool management and preparation Proficiency in reading technical drawings, geometric tolerances, and measurement reports Hands-on experience with measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) Experience in machine maintenance [Optional but desired] Experience with turn-mill machines [Optional but desired] Hands-on experience with CMM operation Excellent problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with work safety guidelines and best practices for work in metal workshops About your employment We are looking for a full-time employee, starting between November 2025 and January 2026.
