Job Description: Cambridge Specialty Company, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Mill Operator to join our team in Berlin, Connecticut. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and optimizing CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components in accordance with engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong machining knowledge, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC milling machines (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis as applicable) Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions Install tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices Load materials and ensure proper alignment and setup Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to ensure tolerances are met Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering or programming teams Conduct routine machine maintenance and maintain equipment in good working order Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred 2+ years of CNC milling experience in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of milling operations, tooling, feeds and speeds, and materials Ability to read blueprints Experience with CNC controls Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Work Environment: Manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking fluids Personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times on the shop floor If you meet these requirements and are interested in applying, please submit an updated copy of your resume to: Kaz: kaz@cambridgespecialty.com and Ray: r.may@cambridgespecialty.com Equal Opportunity Employer including Veterans/Disabilities
