Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate and maintain CNC Milling machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, charts, tables and specifications to determine machining operations
- Maintain, Repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- Use hand tools and power tools to fabricate and modify parts as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and implement lean manufacturing principles
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e/g., Micrometers, calipers)
- Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC MILL Operator / Machinist
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and processes
- Familiarity with GIBBS CAM surfacing is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately
- Basic math skills for performing calculations and measurements
