JOB SUMMARY
CJS Precision Engineering Ltd is a family owned business which has been established on the Ferndown Industrial Estate for over 35 years.
We are looking to employ a highly experienced CNC Miller /Programmer/Setter/Operator (preferably apprentice time served but this is not essential) to become part of our friendly team. Our team are encouraged to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as part of a team in a safe and friendly environment.
The ideal candidate will have 10 years minimum experience and have strong attention to detail with a positive and customer focused attitude, possess strong problem solving skills, be self-directed and committed to quality, safety and communication.
You will be required to accurately read and interpret technical drawings, in order to correctly machine various materials to customers specification and requirements and have the ability to work to tight limits on components. You will need to meet production deadlines and be able to manage time and machines efficiently, whilst also ensuring that the appropriate checks have been carried out. You will also be required to perform appropriate duties as assigned by management, maintain a safe and clean work space and follow established safety rules and regulations.
The ability to program HAAS CNC mills is vital, following planning routings, manufacturing tooling, creating setup sheets and producing a part to first off stage. A strong grasp of all workshop practices and engineering fundamentals is essential.
Collaboration with the Engineering Manager and production staff will also be required to improve processes and resolve any issues during production.
The competencies and skills required are for a self-starter who can work under their own initiative. Proactive, dedicated, adaptable, helpful, conscientious, reliable and a team player who is happy to get involved where needed and who takes pride in the work they produce.
