About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled CNC Miller/Setter to join a leading precision engineering company, specialising in the manufacture of high-quality, low-volume components for a variety of high-tech industries. This is an excellent chance to work with state-of-the-art machinery, producing precision parts for sectors such as automotive, motorsport, defence, and electronics. Key Responsibilities: Operate horizontal and vertical machining centres with controllers such as Mazak, Heidenhain, and Fanuc. Edit CNC programs on the machine to optimise machining processes as required. Set and operate CNC machines to produce high-precision components and perform first-off inspections. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and customer requirements. Enter data into routing sheets and the company s internal systems. Return drawings, fixtures, and tooling to their designated locations after use. Ensure all production processes conform to required quality standards. Support management in achieving quality objectives, including continuous improvement and scrap rate reduction. Competently interpret geometric tolerances. Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain excellent housekeeping standards. Skills and Experience Required: Proven track record in CNC milling is essential. Experience setting and running high-precision, low-volume components. Ability to inspect own work to ensure product conformity. Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently. An approachable and team-oriented character. Familiarity with geometric tolerances and basic machine maintenance. Engineering HNC Level 3 is desirable but not essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CNC Miller to contribute to a forward-thinking team that values quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
