Description

Formagrind Ltd manufactures high precision mechanical components and assemblies for customers across industry sectors such as scientific instrumentation, aerospace & avionics, defence, semiconductor, automotive/F1, and much more. We operate state of the art CNC machinery, and produce very intricate, high-precision components.
We are looking for a CNC Milling Engineer with a positive, proactive approach who can work to rapidly changing requirements under extremely tight timescales.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in basic mathematics
  • Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of Hurco machines (advantageous, but training can be provided)
  • Competence in using measurement hand tools for adjustments and maintenance
    Job Type: Full time
    Salary: £ negotiable depending on skills & experience
    Schedule: Day shift, 39 hours Monday to Friday (7am-3:15pm Monday-Thursday, 7am-2pm Friday)

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC Milling machines to produce parts according to specifications
  • Run and operate Hurco VMC
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines
  • In-process inspection and monitoring of parts to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Liaise with team members to achieve delivery targets
