We are looking for a highly capable and detail-oriented CNC Setter/Operator (Milling) to join a fast-paced, precision-focused engineering team in Sutton-in-Ashfield. REQUIREMENTS:
· Prior experience as a CNC Setter/Operator in a milling environment
· Some knowledge or hands-on experience with:
· Matsuura CNC Machines
· Haas CNC Machines
· 3–5 Axis Milling Centres
· Fanuc Controls
· Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
· Confidence using measuring tools and performing first-off checks
· High attention to detail and a strong work ethic
· Team player with a proactive mindset
· Willingness to work on either day or night shifts, depending on availability
· Formal engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential

ROLE: CNC SETTER/OPERATOR (MILLING)
Salary: £24,000–£55,000 p.a. + Performance Bonus, OT & Excellent Benefits
Location: Sutton In Ashfield
Hours: Day Shifts or Night Shifts Available
Type: Full Time, Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-precision engineered, high-value parts to tight tolerances
· Working on Matsuura and Haas CNC machines with Fanuc controls
· Handling complex multi-axis (3–5 axis) milling operations
· Reading and interpreting technical drawings, CAD files, and work instructions
· Performing first-off inspection using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
· Adjusting machine settings to ensure optimal cutting speeds, feeds, and tooling performance
· Performing minor programming edits and offsets at the machine when needed
· Ensuring all components meet strict quality and surface finish requirements
· Collaborating with production and quality teams to solve problems and improve processes
· Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workstation
