CORE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous CNC programming or scheduling experience (commercial door programming experience preferred, but not required)
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing work orders
  • Ability to read and understand hardware templates and drawings
  • Ability to use various types of computer software
  • Prior manufacturing or production scheduling experience
  • Strong computer and math skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A team player with drive for continuous improvement
  • Hard working, self-motivated, and detail oriented

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent job experience. 1-2 years CNC programming, scheduling and operating experience. Microsoft Office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…

Supporting the Sales and Operations through the accurate and timely CNC scheduling and programing of daily commercial door shop work orders to meet company standards established by the Production Supervisor, as well as, preventative machine maintenance, and back up operations of the CNC Door and Jamb Machine.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be able to read, understand and translate commercial hardware templates, as well as other functions that the CNC Door Machine will perform. Input those templates into the EGT Door Creator Software
  • Review all complex commercial machining work orders with Production Supervisor to ensure the proper information, templates and product specifications are complete and accurate
  • Program the daily production into the CNC Door Machine using EGT Door Creator Software
  • Manage production decisions as to which work orders are done daily to meet productivity standards
  • Fill in for the CNC Door and Jamb Machine operator in their absence
  • Organize and prepare all production paperwork for Door Pullers, Glazing and Millwork
  • Answer all Inside Sales and Shop production scheduling questions
  • Manage all production scheduling date changes on work orders
  • Manage the 3rd party logistics for all prefinished product coming back to the shop for any post pre-finish machining, crating etc.
  • Issue fire labels and manage all fire label logs
