POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to run our Apex3R 207 Large Format CNC Router and our new CNC Hydraulic Press Brake. This is a great opportunity for a mechanically minded operator who enjoys variety, precision, and high-quality fabrication.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 1–3 years operating CNC machines (router, mill, or similar) — large-format experience is a plus.
  • Experience with press brake bending and sheet metal forming an asset.
  • Technical skills: Understanding of G-code, tool offsets, spindle speeds, and feeds.
  • Blueprint literacy: Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools accurately.
  • Physical ability: Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working on your feet for extended periods.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; CNC/machining trade certification preferred.
  • Soft skills: Detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to workplace safety.
Responsibilities
  • Set up & operate CNC machine: Prepare tooling, fixtures, and programs.
  • Operate CNC Router (Apex3R 207): Set up, program, and run large-format machining jobs.
  • Operate CNC Hydraulic Press Brake: Perform bending and forming of sheet and panel materials to specifications.
  • Read & interpret blueprints: Ensure accurate cutting, drilling, and routing to design specifications.
  • Material handling: Safely load and secure aluminum composite panels and other sheet materials.
  • Quality control: Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges to meet tolerance requirements.
  • Machine maintenance: Perform daily inspections, lubrication, and routine maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with machine performance or part quality.
