ASCO Aerospace Canada is a division of Montana Aerospace, with our facility located in Delta, BC. We are looking for CNC Operators to join our Production team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CNC Machinist Technician Diploma (or similar education) or a related, equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
  • Previous experience in high-precision CNC machining strongly preferred
  • Good understanding and use of CNC machine controls
  • General knowledge of speed and feed applications
  • Knowledge of cutting tools
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Very good organizational skills with attention to small details
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Must be able to work various shifts, such as day, afternoon, night, or weekend
  • Must be able to demonstrate safe operation of machinery
  • Ability to do precision set-ups

This is a physically demanding job and requires the following:

  • Excellent hand and eye coordination
  • Ability to work on set-ups for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Safe use of hand and power tools
Responsibilities
  • Efficiently set-up and operate 3 or 5-axis horizontal and vertical CNC milling machines with Fanuc or Siemens controls
  • Perform in-process checks of parts
  • Precise use of various measuring devices
  • Monitor cutting tool performance throughout the machining process
  • Safe operation of forklift and overhead crane
  • Support 5S and Lean manufacturing processes
  • Maintain a clean machine and work environment
  • Maintain fixtures as needed for optimal function
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management
