Description

Brown & Carroll design, manufacture and install high-quality bespoke finishes for our clients in the commercial, high-end residential, restaurant, education & health sectors.
We are looking for an experienced CNC Operator who will be responsible for machining joinery components to exact specifications detailed on production drawings.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all joinery components are machined to a tight tolerance in line with specifications detailed on production drawings/cutting lists within the deadlines provided at the time
  • To ensure all joinery components are maintained/machined to the standard of quality set out with Brown & Carroll’s Integrated Management System
  • Responsible for collating finished works prior to release for bench work or dispatch
  • Ensure correct selection of materials to maintain sustainable compliance, I.E FSC / PEFC

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience of operating the following woodworking machines is required:

  • Dimension Saw
  • Drum Sander
  • Planer & Thicknesser
  • Cross-Cut Saw
  • Band Saw

The successful candidate must also have:

  • Previous experience within a similar environment, the ability to read and understand production drawings and cutting sheets
  • The ability to read and understand detailed production drawings and cutting sheets
  • Knowledge of joinery workshop construction methods
  • Knowledge of working with various timber-based materials i.e. hardwood / softwood including veneered & laminate panels
  • The ability to identify and solve problems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be proficient in the operation of CNC machine including associated software
