ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience
• Proficient with 2D and 3D cad software (e.g Rhino 8, Solidworks, Autocad)
• Ability to read technical drawings accurately
• Good time management and teamwork skills
• Motivated self-starter with a positive outlook
• Basic level of physical fitness due to manual handling of sheet materials

• Programme 3 and 4 axis CNC machines & set up sheet material (timbers, plastics, thin metals etc) for cutting
• Translate 3D drawings into cut ready files
• Edit cad drawings provided (factoring in tolerance, sacrificial margins etc)
• Layout cutting files optimising economical use of material
• Collaborate with the design & production team, providing feedback on manufacturability of designs
• Inspect, clean and organise cut elements ready for the next process
• Keep an eye on production schedule and manage workflow coming through
• Complete routine maintenance of machines
• Maintain basic levels of stock materials and help to forecast material demand
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace in compliance with safety regulations
