Description JOB TITLE: CNC Operator I 2nd Shift JOB SUMMARY The CNC Operator I is responsible for continually learning how to operate machinery in CNC. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS At least 1 year of experience using hand and power tools Must be able to lift 50lbs PREFERRED SKILLS Communication and problem-solving skills Reliable and dependable Willingness to learn to run CNC Horizontal and/or Vertical machines, and basic CNC machining CORE DUTIES Learn to Operate CNC Machines with little assistance Learn how to work with complex blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, job orders, tooling instructions, and standard charts Learn how to make required adjustments to machinery to compensate for material tooling, machine, or program conditions Learn to make tool offsets with no assistance Learn to inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly Operate CNC machines without supervision after receiving the proper training Other duties as assigned HOURS 2nd shift Monday - Thursday, 2:45 p.m. – 1:15 a.m. Friday OT if needed SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen.
