We are looking for a CNC Operator to join our team at Maverick Downhole Technologies. The CNC Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations around product manufacturing; operating CNC Machines, maintaining Quality and Safety Standards, achieving production goals, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
We are looking for the following shift:
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Completion of Machine Technician or similar trade programs, an asset
· Previous knowledge or experience of oil and gas specific threads is an asset
· Working knowledge and previous experience with operating a CNC Mill/Lathe
· Possess mechanical and technical skills to effectively operate and troubleshoot a CNC machine independently
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings and printings
· Experience with utilizing various hand tools
· Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
· Must be able to lift heavy material up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

· Operating CNC Lathe with duties including entering initial settings, positioning the work material correctly, and configuring the machine settings
· Loading the material into the CNC machine
· Managing the raw materials basket by making accurate measurements and verifying the correct material
· Reading and understanding the traveler document
· Recognizing broken tooling and inserts during operation including any offset adjustments
· Maintaining the flow of operations through clearing blockage and safely removing any identified burr
· Measuring in-process and final part against drawing
· Correctly handling finished materials
· Finishing work pieces and performing quality control checks through reading technical drawings and blueprints and using key measuring tools
· Picking, sorting, or taking inventory into the shop
