Our client, an insulation fabricator and distributor located in the South end of Ottawa, is currently looking for a CNC Operator / Shipper-Receiver to join their team.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year experience in production, ideally operating machinery, tools, and/or equipment
• 1 year experience in a warehouse or Shipper / Receiver role
• Previous experience operating a CNC Machine preferred but not required; however, candidate must be mechanically inclined as well as able to learn new software (to operate the CNC machine)
• Previous forklift experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently / in a team
• Ability to follows instructions carefully
• Must have own vehicle as public transit is not reliable in the area

Experience:

• Production: 1 year (preferred)

• Upload CNC program for machine to run
• Load materials onto CNC Profile Cutting Wire Saw machine and run the programs
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality
• Pick product orders for customers and place them into boxes or onto skids
• Operate a counterbalance forklift to load/unload trucks and move product within the warehouse
• Receive stock and store into appropriate areas
• Cycle count inventory, storing in orderly and accessible manner, while inspecting stock items for wear or defects and reporting to management
• Ensure materials are secured to minimize damage and breakage
• Keep work areas clean and free from safety hazards at all times
• Assist other team members with various warehouse, shipping, and receiving tasks
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50lbs during physical loading/unloading of trucks
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours to perform job related tasks
• Other duties as assigned
  The starting wage for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
  Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm.
