Description CNC Process Engineer Job Description The CNC Process Engineer works to continuously improve manufacturing machining processes to maximize efficiency, machine reliability, product quality, cost reduction, and better use of assets. This will be accomplished through process capability, cycle time & downtime reduction, development of standard processes and developing a trained workforce. This position will work directly with machinists, engineering, maintenance, quality, and management to accomplish these tasks. Responsible for determining process parameters and flow for new parts, programming, and initial run-off to achieve initial process capability while documenting all instructions and machinist training requirements. Reporting Technical Manager Responsibilities Ability to solve complex problems with root cause analysis (defining the scope, collecting data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions) and resolve in a timely manner. Develop & implement countermeasures to eliminate reoccurring downtime. Support new projects and identify new technologies for current improvements. Ability to work independently and execute objectives in a team environment. Must be fluent in G code with an aptitude for machine-specific codes. Reads and fully understands technical drawings and tool data sheets. Able to read/write programs for multiple types of CNC machines (e.g., Okuma, Mori Seiki, Tsugami, Doosan, etc.) Creating setup sheets and documenting/creating standard processes Establishes changeover process steps, preparation, and efficiency improvements. Communicates effectively with peers, leaders, & support functions. Demonstrates adaptability and appropriate interpersonal skills, maintaining a positive attitude. Must be flexible for assignment changes, occasional overtime, and other duties as required. Requirements Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR regulations. 7+ years relevant experience in manufacturing with CNC machining processes Familiarity with types and uses of various metrology equipment Able to lift 50 lbs. on occasion. Requires constant standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, including working in and around moving parts, chemicals, lights/lasers, etc. Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the duration of work schedule Compensation Salary exempt position, including health, vision, dental, & disability insurance, PTO, and 401K benefits.
