HumanHire is working with a long-standing manufacturer in Islandia to help find a CNC Programmer to join their team. This company has been family owned and operated for nearly 50 years and are seeking someone who is a CNC Programming expert, specifically on Haas and mill-turn machines.
Hourly rate: Upto $45/hr with OT, full benefits, PTO, 401k, and more
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM

CNC PROGRAMMER QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience in CNC programming, setup, and manual machining in a job shop or manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Okuma and Haas CNC machines and related control software
• Strong knowledge of stainless steel machining, with experience handling aluminum and plastics
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications accurately
• Skilled in precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators) and quality inspection processes

• Program, set up, and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes along with mill-turn machines to produce precision components to exact specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
• Perform manual machining operations (lathe and mill) as needed for custom or short-run parts.
• Work with stainless steel alloys, aluminum, and plastics, applying proper tooling and machining techniques for each material.
• Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain equipment and follow shop safety standards, ensuring smooth operation in a 4-day workweek environment with occasional overtime.
