Description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our client’s manufacturing team in Edmonton, AB. In this key role, you will be responsible for writing, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs for both turning and milling operations. This role requires you to have hands-on experience with machine setup, tool selection, and process troubleshooting, along with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

  • Pay Rate: $ 30.00/hour
  • Location: Edmonton, AB
  • Shift: Monday to Friday
  • Job type: Long term contract | Full-time

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 4 years of CNC programming and setup experience in oilfield or heavy machining.
  • Proficient in MasterCam X (X5 preferred) and Fanuc/Siemens controls.
  • Strong understanding of machine shop tools and measurement instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong math skills for accurate computations.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Must agree to confidentiality and abide by company policies.
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write, modify, and optimize CNC programs for both turning and milling centers.
  • Set up machines, select tools, and develop work-holding solutions.
  • Interpret drawings and blueprints for machining.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Scheduling teams.
  • Perform in-process inspections, troubleshoot malfunctions, and adjust programs as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and report machine issues.
  • Support and mentor CNC Operators with setups and minor repairs.
  • Keep workstations clean and organized.
  • Actively contribute to process improvements and team meetings.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
