Our world-class team includes experts in all aspects of spacecraft subsystems design, development, and test, on-orbit operations, and safety.      About The Position  As an CNC Automation AFP Programmer your primary focus will be creating and running the CAM and maintaining the AFP robot. Along with any ancillary task in order to continue efficient operations of the AFP robot.      You will be working alongside Design Engineers and Composites Technicians to create new custom parts for our space program. Have an understanding of how to interpret drawings to meet component tolerances. In addition, maintain flexibility to explore manufacturing processes for future composite projects.     General Requirements:  * Analyzing specification charts, samples and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements and GD&T. * Work with Engineers to communicate needs, manufacturability and timeline. * Developing a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specifications. * Create and maintain programs using CAM software * Prepare raw materials needed to manufacture parts * Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan * Operating equipment to carry out each step correctly * Monitoring the production process and intervening when problems arise * Inspecting finished parts for flaws and defects  Requirements:  * High School diploma or GED required * Demonstrated oral and written communication skills * Minimum 5+ years’ experience programming Automated Fiber Placement Robot * Proficiency with CAM software for AFP, such as ACES. * Proficiency with component design and assembly management using 3D CAD software, such as Solidworks, CREO, and Fusion 360. * Familiarity with commonly used aerospace and commercial specifications for materials, processes, fasteners, mechanical components, etc. * Clear understanding of G and M code. * Knowledge of how-to setup and operate multi-axis robot with a high level of familiarity. * Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications and drawings. * Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and adjust during the manufacturing process. * Ability to move roughly 50 to 75 pounds and remain at your workstation throughout the day. * Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents * Experience with Microsoft Office suite. * Effective verbal and written communication * Ability to work in a collaborative team environment * Excellent organizational skills * Creative approach to problem solving * Embraces Intuitive Machines core values: Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence * Ability and willingness to work under compressed and aggressive delivery schedules * Teamwork - Eager and able to work in a collaborative and cross-disciplinary fashion in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-oriented environment US EEO Statement Intuitive Machines is an Equal Opportunity employer.
