We are seeking a CNC PROGRAMMER.
This is a full-time opportunity for a Mastercam Programmer to work in a busy programming department writing optimal programs for CNC machines in accordance with production blueprints and quality standards, including testing and debugging of programs and maintaining documentation.
Your role includes:
- verifying programming with tool path simulation
- working with production to prepare CNC setup sheets for operators
- creating job folders and recording modifications
- reviewing existing machining processes for improvement and optimization
- responding to shop requests for problem solving assistance
Ideally, you have these skills and experience:
- minimum 3-5 years of Mastercam programming (3-D) experience with 5-axis
- strong technical knowledge of precision machining and manufacturing methods
- experience machining a wide variety of materials, most notably harden steel
- ability to read/interpret prints and proficiency with GD&T
- strong time management skills with the ability to co-ordinate multiple projects
- be detailed orientated, hands on, self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
- possess excellent communication, mathematical and organizational skills
- computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- perform other duties as needed
Previous manufacturing experience is a strong asset.
