SUMMARY:

The candidate will be responsible for creating detailed program sheets from Shop drawings for the production floor. Explode parts for programming and machining. Will be communicating with CNC operators, troubleshooting G-code, and answering questions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ability to proficiently operate Inventor, AutoCAD, Mastercam, and or equivalent programming software and Microsoft Office, including, but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with programming 3-axis CNC is needed; 5-axis experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation, and maintenance instructions.
  • Knowledge of machine and tooling capabilities.
  • Ability to provide strong attention to detail when examining shop drawings.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while supporting the department.
  • Ability to produce accurate, professional, and error-free documents in a timely manner.
  • Demonstration of good oral and written communication skills, and work well as a member of a team.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and resources.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years of previous experience in programming and/or a combination of education and experience.
  • Woodworking experience is a plus.
  • Have a familiarity with computers and Windows software.
