JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our Wood Doors & components manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SCM group Accord 40 FX machine, CNC programming, with experience in various machining processes and familiarity with industry-standard software. This role involves creating precise programs for CNC machines, ensuring high-quality production while adhering to safety and efficiency standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in CNC programming with a strong understanding of machining processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software; experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, ALPHA CAM is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively.
  • Excellent math skills with a focus on geometry for precise measurements.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for CNC lathes and milling machines using software such as Fanuc, SolidWorks, CATIA, ALPHA CAM and AutoCAD.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and tolerances.
  • Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure accuracy in machining processes.
  • Conduct setups for CNC machines and perform test runs to ensure programs produce parts that meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement lean manufacturing practices.
  • Operate precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to machining processes and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation of programming changes, setups, and production runs.
