As a CNC Programmer at Safran Nacelles in Burnley, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of aircraft engine nacelle manufacturing. Working within a dedicated team of CAM Engineers, you’ll focus on developing and optimising CNC and robotic programming processes that are safe, cost-effective, and repeatable.
You’ll support the smooth production of composite and sheet metal components through technologies such as 5-axis CNC machining, laser welding and cutting, and laser ply projection. You’ll also be responsible for defining and refining manufacturing processes, creating work instructions and tooling specifications, and making sure that quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
From process design to line support, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance to suppliers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies. With access to advanced tools like CATIA V5, Delmia, and ERP systems, you’ll help our manufacturing operations meet the high standards Safran is known for globally.
