OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machinery, ensuring precision and quality in the production of components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and quality inspection practices. The CNC Programmer will play a crucial role in maintaining production efficiency and product quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Sheet Metal CNC Programmer / Operator
    Experience in sheet metal CNC turret punch press programming.
    Knowledge of various CAD packages interfacing with sheet metal CNC software.
    Must be familiar with sheet metal programming and sheet metal equipment.
    Knowledge of working with AMADA CNC sheet metal turret punch presses.
    Prepare programmes from drawings.
    Able to evaluate bend allowances.
    Import drawings in DXF format from cad packages like Autocad, and Solidworks.
    Study job orders and interpret blue prints to determine machining operations to be performed.
    Knowledge of G code for CNC sheet metal punch presses.
    Enter programming codes for specifying speed, feed and cut of the tool path for computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tools.

    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $20.10-$30.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 44 per week

Experience:

  • AMADA CNC: 1 year (preferred)
  • Turret Punch Press: 1 year (preferred)
  • AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
  • G & M Code: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations including lathe and plasma cutting.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring they are calibrated for optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine specifications and tolerances for each project.
  • Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure parts meet required standards.
  • Assemble components as necessary, utilizing hand tools effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues with machinery or programming.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Operate cranes safely when moving heavy materials or finished products.
