TYCROP is looking for a CNC Programmer to join our team in the Fraser Valley.
The CNC programmer is responsible for organizing and nesting TYCROP components using CNC software. This individual will read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD drawings and other specifications to determine dimensions, sequence of operations and set up requirements. Responsibilities include: nesting components for production, adjusting CNC program settings, maintaining the CNC program database, and organizing production requirements. This position will require an individual who is tech and schematic blueprint reading savvy, and able to deal with frequent change and competing demands in their work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Over two years CNC Programming experience

SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, processes and manuals
  • Ability to operate general hand tools
  • Attention to precision measurements and details
  • Job task planning and organizing
  • Computer skills; Excel, Word, Email
  • Safety Procedure Adherence
  • Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems
  • Must be able to lift 10lbs to 50lbs.

Responsibilities
  • Create and set up nests for CNC requirements on the plasma and laser table
  • Make program corrections as required
  • Layout and measurements as per blueprints and revisions as directed
  • Attend production, safety meetings and training as required
  • Maintain production scheduled as directed
  • Utilize comprehension skills, knowledge of mathematics and use of active listening skills
  • Operate and assist in setup of machines if needed
  • Lift/move material as required
