JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with a strong background in 5-axis machining and Fanuc controls to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as supervising CNC setup personnel and machine operators when necessary. This is a hands-on role that requires both advanced programming capabilities and leadership qualities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC programming with a focus on 5-axis machining.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Fanuc controls.
  • Experience working with aerospace materials and parts is preferred.
  • Proficiency with CAM software (Mastercam preferred or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring setup personnel and operators.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities
  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis milling machines using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent).
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining strategies.
  • Set up, prove out, and optimize CNC machining processes for prototype and production parts.
  • Select proper tooling, speeds, feeds, and fixtures to ensure optimal machining efficiency and part quality.
  • Troubleshoot machining problems and make necessary adjustments to programs or setups.
  • Supervise and support CNC setup personnel and machine operators to ensure consistent quality and adherence to production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for programs, tool lists, and setup sheets.
  • Work unsupervised and take full ownership of assigned projects from programming to final part inspection.
  • Ensure machines are running safely and efficiently, and help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
