CNC Programmer, $25-29/hr, Livonia, MI
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer with expertise in Mastercam and BobCAD software to join our team. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for designing and creating CNC programs for various machining operations, ensuring that production runs efficiently and meets all required specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in CNC programming using Mastercam and BobCAD software
  • Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and machining operations.
  • Familiarity with various CNC machines and tooling.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree or certification in CNC programming, machining, or a related field.
  • Experience with multi-axis CNC programming.
  • Familiarity with other CNC programming software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and CAD/CAM integration.

Responsibilities
  • Develop CNC programs using Mastercam and BobCAD for a variety of CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers, etc.).
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and blueprints to create precise, optimized tool paths.
  • Set up and configure CNC machines, ensuring proper tool selection, calibration, and machine setup.
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing CNC programs to optimize machining performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and machinists to discuss project requirements and provide technical support.
  • Ensure high-quality standards are maintained during programming, and work to reduce cycle times while maintaining tight tolerances.
  • Update and revise CNC programs based on engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards.
