POSITION SUMMARY

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision parts. This role requires a strong understanding of G-code, CAM software Mastercam or HyperMill, and the ability to read complex engineering drawings and CAD files. Adherence to specifications and quality standards is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in CNC programming, including 5-axis machining.
  • Proficiency with CAM software - Mastercam or Hypermill
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
  • Knowledge of various materials (aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel).
  • Experience with DMG Mori, Kitamura, or similar machines is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Program and optimize 5-axis CNC machines to produce high-precision components.
  • Create and edit G-code and tool paths using CAM software.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control to ensure part accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to programs or setup.
  • Maintain documentation for all programs and setups.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
