Description

Our growing Machine shop is looking to hire a CNC Punch Operator working on the afternoon shift. There are about 18 CNC machinists at this shop. This is a full-time, permanent role with great perks! Our shop is in Richmond where we manufacture precision metal parts for high-tech companies.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday from 4:00pm to 2:30am

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience operating and programming CNC punch presses (Trumpf preferred)
  • Familiarity with CNC controls and programming
  • High school diploma + 1–2 years of relevant experience
  • Technical training or coursework preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs regularly
Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC punch press based on drawings and work orders
  • Perform first-off inspections and verify die set accuracy
  • Maintain machine and tooling; send dull tools for sharpening
  • Organize and label incoming materials and pallets
  • Break parts during production runs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Report tooling needs to Lead Hand or Foreman
  • Follow all quality, safety, and lean procedures
