3rd Shift Production - 7:30PM to 6:00AM - Sunday thru Thursday - Overtime as needed- Starting pay $25.00 per hour plus shift differential I. PURPOSE: Use automated saw to cut parts to size and provide our customers with a high quality, defect free product. II. POSITION DEMANDS: · Must maintain good attendance and a positive work attitude. · Must have knowledge and understanding of all safety guidelines and specific safety hazards associated with trimming. · Must have knowledge of and use all safety equipment required for saw operation. · Must be able to read a tape rule. · Must understand how to read the production schedule. · Must know how to operate the automated saw. · Need to know how to operate the vacuum lift rack. · Must be a properly trained and certified crane operator. · Must know how to operate a hand grinder. · Must know how to operate dust collector. III. WORKING RELATIONSHIP: CNC Operator and helpers answer directly to the Line/Shift Supervisor and must also follow continuing instruction from individual(s) assigned to automated saw training. IV. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities listed in order of relative importance; · Must be able to identify potential defects and comply with auto control program. · Must wear or use all personal protection equipment required for trimming. · Proper inspection of crane and attachments. · Read, understand and adhere to rules and guidelines stated in the company handbook. · Cut parts to size with automated saw as per production list and or I.D. tag. · Flip parts over onto conveyor. · Assist final finish when necessary. · Make sure that the dust collector is running when operating the saw. · Monitor fullness of scrap hopper and dust collector hopper and alert utility person or forklift operator to have hoppers emptied. · Keep saw and table clean and in good working order. · Inspect blades, shrouds, and wire harnesses daily and report problems to supervisor. · Expected to help others with their job if needed, such as grinding. · Must help keep the shop, shop floor and machinery clean and keep trashcans empty. You may be assigned a designated area to keep clean. V. ACCOUNTABILITY: Every individual is held personally accountable for adherence to Job Safe Practice Guidelines as stated in this form and general plant rules as stated in the employee handbook. This position will be held accountable for the following; · Improper use of Personal Protective Equipment. · Improper inspection of crane and attachments. · Parts cut wrong size. · Parts damaged by rough handling/flipping. · Damaged saw blades, machinery or tools. · Overly full hoppers, dust piles left on floor (either can result in fire) · Impeding the speed and or performance of the line. · Any task not performed to quality and efficiency standards. · Insubordination to the supervisor group leader or supervision in general. VI. JOB SAFE PRACTICE GUIDELINES: Automated Saw Operator · Required Personal Protective Equipment: a) Safety goggles with side shields b) Respirator with dust/particle filter c) Ear protection (ear plugs) d) Leather work gloves e) Arm Protection · Potential Hazards: a) Pinch points b) Sharp edges, rotating blade and or grinding disk c) Splinters d) Dust and flying objects/debris e) Trip hazard f) Being hit by falling parts.

Responsibilities

Operate an automated CNC saw to cut parts to size according to production schedules while ensuring high quality and defect-free products. Maintain machinery, manage scrap hoppers, and adhere to strict safety and PPE guidelines.
