We are looking for a skilled CNC Set-Up Machinist to join a reputable oil & gas manufacturing facility that specializes in producing precision components. This position focuses primarily on setup responsibilities rather than machine operation. The ideal candidate will be capable of interpreting job prints, independently setting up machines, and verifying accuracy prior to the start of production. Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Monday – Friday Oklahoma City, OK Responsibilities (Setup-Oriented) Set up CNC mills and lathes according to blueprints and work instructions Carry out complete machine setups, including: Selection and installation of tooling Setting offsets and performing touch-offs Securing work holding and fixturing Confirm and validate first-article quality prior to production release Edit programs and adjust speeds and feeds as required Diagnose and resolve setup issues to ensure machines are ready for production Maintain precise tolerances and consistent part quality Run initial production runs and assist operators when necessary (not the primary responsibility) Over 5 years of experience in CNC machining At least 3 years of experience independently setting up CNC machines (mandatory) Demonstrated ability to: Set up machines without direct supervision Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Carry out precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges Experience with tooling, offsets, and conducting first-piece inspections Exceptional attention to detail and responsibility for ensuring part quality Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Monday – Friday Oklahoma City, OK Pay Rate: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience level. Full-Time Position Competitive compensation based on experience Compensation evaluated according to setup skills and ability to work independently
