A growing business is looking for a CNC Setter Operator who works best when the setup’s solid, the drawings are clear, and the machine is running right!
You don’t chase targets or cut corners. As part of the team, you will contribute to the manufacturing of high precision for critical industries such as nuclear, defence and oil & gas.
Along with an hourly rate between £15 - £17 per hour / £47,242 – £52,026 per annum including night shift allowance and a range of benefits including overtime and 1.5x OR 2x, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, a pension scheme, death-in-service cover, access to an employee assistance programme and a clean, well-organised workshop and supportive environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS CNC SETTER OPERATOR:

It’s not just pressing buttons; you’ll be setting and operating CNC lathes using 2 and 3 axis Fanuc controls.
You may be working on conventional CNCs, Twin spindle and twin turret, Doosan’s, Biglia’s and sliding head machines, machines that are maintained properly, with everything you need to do a good job.

SOME OF YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Completing full machine set ups on various types and sizes of machines.
• Working with exotic materials.
• Editing programmes when needed. Checking everything is to the required standard.
  There’s a team of engineers and programmers around you, but you’ll be trusted to get on with things and do them properly.
