The CNC Operator for the Kongsberg X24 Edge Production Machine is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of the machine to ensure high-quality production of custom products. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Technical training or certification in CNC operation preferred.
· Proven experience operating CNC machines, with specific experience on Kongsberg systems a strong advantage.
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
· Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
· Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

1. Machine Setup and Operation:
   o Configure and calibrate the Kongsberg X24 Edge Production Machine for daily production tasks.
   o Load materials and ensure proper alignment and positioning.
   o Operate the machine to produce parts according to technical specifications and design requirements.
2. Quality Assurance:
   o Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, ensuring adherence to company standards and client requirements.
   o Identify and resolve issues related to material defects, machine performance, or programming errors.
3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
   o Perform routine maintenance on the Kongsberg X24 Edge, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement as needed.
   o Diagnose and troubleshoot machine errors to minimize downtime.
   o Coordinate with technical support or service teams for advanced repairs.
4. Programming and Customization:
   o Utilize software tools to upload and adjust design files for production.
   o Modify CNC programs when necessary to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
5. Safety and Compliance:
   o Follow workplace safety protocols and ensure the safe operation of the CNC machine.
   o Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with company policies.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
   o Work closely with the design and production teams to meet project deadlines.
   o Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and improve workflows.
