JOB DESCRIPTION

Atkinson Equipment Limited is a long established Wiltshire based precision engineering company that has demonstrated continual growth by building a reputation for excellence in everything it does.
The engineering division makes precision turned, milled and welded components for customers in automotive, medical, and oil industry, railways and locomotives, instrumentation, mobility and high quality aircraft cabin fittings.

JOB SUMMARY (PRIMARY ROLE)

To deliver all work as allocated by the departmental head to include where required the supervision of Engineering Operators, programme setting, tooling and first-off inspections as required by the individual drawing, specifications, method statements, process and procedures as identified and allocated to the individual on a task-by-task basis.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setting and programming Fanuc control CNC Milling centres.
• Understanding technical drawings.
• Ability to create programs from 2D Drawings.
• Working to tight tolerances.
• Inspecting own work, to ensure compliance to drawing.
• Ability to use a wide range of metrology equipment.
• Record inspections and daily duties.
• Able to follow clear instruction.
  Self-motivated. Ability to work using own initiative.
  Working as part of a team.

  Pay: £16.00-£17.70 per hour
