    We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter/Programmer to join our Process Engineering team, you will play a critical role in the precision machining of our advanced carbon-ceramic brake discs. You’ll be responsible for developing, optimising, and maintaining CNC programs, ensuring high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and quality. Working closely with our engineering and production teams, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our machining processes and help us meet the demanding standards of our world-class customers.
Responsibilities
  • Create, modify, and optimise CNC programs for the machining of carbon-ceramic brake discs and related components.
  • Set up, prove out, and validate CNC machining programs on multi-axis machines (5-axis).
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure manufacturability and process efficiency.
  • Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for machining advanced carbon-ceramic materials.
  • Perform first-off inspections and ensure all programs meet Surface Transforms’ strict quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, making necessary adjustments to improve cycle times and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of programs, tooling, and setup sheets.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the CNC machining department.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies at all times.
