SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a CNC Setter in a manufacturing environment. Training will be given.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with a range of measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Setter to join our dynamic and growing team. As a CNC Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components to tight tolerances. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our production process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and operate CNC bending and end-forming machines.
  • Select and install appropriate cutting tools, jigs and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Edit and adjust machine programs to optimise performance and quality.
  • Conduct first-off inspections using a variety of measuring equipment (eg. micrometers, verniers, callipers, gauges).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues, including tool wear, machine alarms, and quality defects.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team, engineers and quality control.
