We’re Hiring: CNC Setup Programmer – Brampton, ON
Are you an experienced CNC Setup Programmer looking for your next opportunity? Our client, a well-established global manufacturing leader, is seeking a skilled professional to join their machine shop team in Brampton.
Morning Shift
Compensation: $35-38/hr
What You’ll Do:
- Program and optimize CNC lathes for efficient, high-quality production.
- Set up machines for operators, ensuring smooth and accurate first-offs.
- Troubleshoot and fine-tune CNC programs to maintain productivity.
- Work with engineering and production teams on tooling, fixtures, and process improvements.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques to reduce cycle times and eliminate waste.
- Maintain preventive maintenance and uphold a clean, organized work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5-8 years of CNC programming and setup experience (Twin Spindle Twin Turret CNC lathes preferred).
- 4-axis lathe programming, manual systems
- Preference for castings and bar manufacturing experience
- Live tooling and multi-spindle machinery experience
- Fanuc Series Controls and Okuma Controls (must-have)
- Machine, tool shop background with combined experience across machinist, operator, setup, and programming
- High level Manual Programming experience.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
- Skilled in the use of measuring equipment (micrometers, height gauges, CMM an asset).
- Experience with bar feeders, chucking setups, and live tooling.
- SolidWorks/CAD knowledge is a plus.
- Previous experience in ISO-certified environments is preferred.
