We are looking for someone to join our Production Team in beautiful Lunenburg, NS.An affiliate of the Airbus Group of Companies, STELIA is an aerospace and defence company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of composite components and assemblies. Headquartered in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, and with a site in Mirabel, Quebec, we operate in more than 150,000 sq feet of facilities dedicated to operations, manufacturing and administration.
The CNC Technician is responsible for preparing and operating numerical-control cutting machine, reading setup instructions and specifications, loading control media containing programmed commands into control console of machine, or entering commands to retrieve programmed control data.

Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC machines by loading and executing programs.
  • Secure and fixture parts in the machine for processing.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure programs run correctly.
  • Deburr finished parts as needed.
  • Verify part accuracy using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools according to work instructions and customer specifications.
  • Ensure the machine is in proper working condition, reporting any issues or concerns immediately to a supervisor.
  • Identify and report nonconforming parts, conditions, or manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area around the machine at all times.
  • Properly manage coolant, including removing contaminants, maintaining the correct dilution ratio, and refilling or cleaning the machine’s coolant system as needed.
  • Perform self-inspections to ensure product quality.
  • Accurately record production and inspection results as required.
  • Consistently meet production schedules and requirements.
