CNC TURNER

Salary Up to: £17.30 per hour Overtime Up to £25.95 per hour
We are looking for a skilled CNC Turner Setter Programmer to join our dedicated team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. Familiar with Hurco Lathe and or Colchester Alpha Lathe with manual tool post.
This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner with a strong background in programming, setting, and operating CNC machines.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and make decisions independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undergo further training as required by the company.
    37 hours per week, plus overtime
    Core Hours of work are - Monday -Thursday between 6 am and 5 pm Friday between 6am and 4 pm
    5 weeks holiday , plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components.
  • Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate programming and setup.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Carry out other machining disciplines and tasks within your capabilities as directed by your immediate manager.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and meets production deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Undertake any necessary training as required by the company to enhance skills and meet future job requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and management to resolve any production issues.
  • Accept and implement constructive feedback from the Production Supervisor to improve work performance.
