Job Description We’re currently hiring experienced CNC Turners to join our team in Wolverhampton. This position offers a unique chance to work in both a newly built, high-tech machining centre and a long-standing workshop environment, supported by a knowledgeable and collaborative team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting up and running CNC turning machines, ensuring consistent quality and supporting the introduction of new components and processes. It’s ideal for someone who values precision, enjoys refining their skills, and takes pride in producing top-tier work. Your typical day might include: Operating CNC lathes to produce high-precision parts within tight tolerances. Loading and modifying CNC programs, making offset changes to maintain accuracy. Inspecting components using tools like micrometers, Verniers, and bore gauges. Working alongside Manufacturing Engineers to support new product launches and process improvements. Following job cards, process layouts, and work instructions while meeting quality requirements. Taking part in First Line Maintenance and TPM routines. Promoting safety and contributing to ongoing improvements in the workplace. Qualifications Must-haves: Hands-on experience with CNC lathes in a precision engineering setting. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. A keen eye for detail and a strong focus on quality. Nice-to-haves: Completed an engineering apprenticeship. Familiarity with Fanuc or Siemens controls. Experience with multi-axis or twin-spindle turning centres. Willingness to take on varied tasks depending on workload. Open to working shifts.
