CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER II- ONCOLOGY Full-time Permanent Bon Secours Hospital Cork are delighted to announce an exciting and rare opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager II in our dedicated Oncology Service. Bon Secours Cork provide cancer services to a large regional catchment area. The range of services encompasses diagnosis, staging and all aspects of cancer treatment. We treat a wide variety of solid and haematologic malignancies. We have an active clinical trials unit, offering a range of international and investigator-initiated studies to our patients. Our consultant medical oncologists and haematologists have extensive medical oncology training within Ireland and at internationally recognised cancer centres. Along with the teams of nurses for our inpatient and day wards, there are Clinical Nurse Specialists supporting palliative care, oncology liaison, triage, and clinical trials. Candidate Requirements: Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI A minimum of 3-5 years post registration experience in oncology Completed a management course and a postgraduate in Oncology/Haematology Nursing is essential A minimum of 2 years management experience is essential A proven track record in Nursing Management at a senior level Preceptorship/teaching and assessing of students and junior staff is also essential Experience in the implementation of service improvement and development Excellent leadership skills with the ability to problem solve and use their initiative. The ability to negotiate and resolve difficult clinical, operational and interpersonal situations. Possess extensive knowledge/experience of the principles and practices of Nurse Management. Demonstrate specific knowledge of Quality Framework Health Services in Ireland and to have experience in Accreditation processes.
