                                                                                                Wesleyan College Kid's College Summer Camps offer educational and fun summer opportunities for kids ranging in age from 4 - 12.  With a mission to serve as an outreach in the fields of creative expressions, STEM, and positive reinforcement to the surrounding school systems, to provide a safe place to practice educational best practices for future classroom teachers and education students associated with Wesleyan College, and to create a safe, engaging, and academically focused summer camp experience.  We encourage learning through creativity, imagination, and fun learning adventures.  Wesleyan is currently hiring part time, temporary, Camp Co-Directors for our Kid's College summer program.  The hourly pay rate for this role starts at $18 and eligible to work up to 40 hours per week depending on need. Duties and expectations include, but not limited to:  * Running the main office throughout the day,  * Modeling, implementing, and adhering to the camp positive management protocols, * Establishing, coordinating, and maintaining camp wide communication protocols, * Administering first aid,  * Supervising campers in all areas on campus,  * Observing and assisting instructors and counselors, * Teaching one course each day,  * Monitoring and tracking attendance,  * Tracking positive behavior points,  * Leading camp songs, chants, and cheers,  * Facilitating daily check in and check out,  * Supervising lunchroom safety,   * Monitoring daily snack supplies,  * Scheduling counselors, junior counselors, and instructors daily, * Scheduling instructional blocks,  * Substituting as needed,  * Pulling materials needed and ensuring instructors have all requested supplies, * Contacting parents/caregivers in emergency situations, * Assisting in marketing events throughout the calendar year, * And other duties as deemed necessary by the camp Executive Director To apply for this position, please upload a resume (which focuses on your experiences with children ages 4-12) and letter of interest with three references.  Minor applicants up to 15 years of age must supply an employment certificate from an appropriate issuing officer (if public school - school superintendent or authorized person, if private - principal or authorized person, if home study - person, parent or guardian). Our camp will run the month of June 2026 beginning June 1st through June 26th. We will have mandatory training onsite at Wesleyan from 9:00-4:00pm, May 26th - Friday, May 39th.  Wesleyan College is a drug-free workplace employer. Week I: (June 1-5 )   Jedi Training Academy This week we’ll focus on Leadership, Discipline, Balance, and Strength.  We may even build some authentic lightsabers! Week II: (June 8-12)  Droid Builders & Tech Wizards Week Robotics, Engineering, and Innovation will be our focus this week.  We’ll investigate some mechanics and problem solving skills. Week III: (June 15-19)  Star Systems & Galactic Science Exploring Space, Planets, and the Science Behind the Stars will be our flight plan this week!  We’ll dig into cause and effect, physics, and engineering. Week IV: (June 22-26)   Rebel Alliance -vs- Empire Showdown Implementing Teamwork, Strategy, and Creative Expressions will be the challenge this week.  Launching missiles and hitting targets will be vital skills built this week. Unless explicitly discussed prior to hiring, it is expected that all positions will be available for the full duration of camp June 1-June 26 from 7:30 AM until 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
