Humaximus Inc. is building an orchestration platform designed to solve one of healthcare’s most costly and dangerous problems: patients falling through the cracks after hospital discharge. We’re pre-seed, backed by experienced advisors in cybersecurity, population health, and enterprise tech. We’re looking for a technical co-founder and CTO to join us on this journey.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in healthcare tech, ideally building products integrated with EHRs (Epic, Cerner, HL7, FHIR, SMART-on-FHIR).
• Strong technical background in backend systems (Node.js/TypeScript, AWS, Postgres) and modern cloud infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of security, HIPAA compliance, and enterprise integration.
• Experience leading engineering teams and/or startups (founder, early-stage, or senior leadership role).
• Passion for solving real-world problems in healthcare and beyond.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable with uncertainty, resourcefulness, and building from scratch.

YOUR ROLE

As Co-Founder, CTO, you will be responsible for building and scaling the platform from MVP through growth. You’ll lead all aspects of technology, security, integrations, and product architecture, working alongside the CEO and founding team to turn our vision into reality. This is a founding-level role with equity compensation. You will be instrumental not only in shaping the product, but also in shaping the company itself.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical Leadership: Define and own the product architecture (event-driven orchestration engine, SMART-on-FHIR integration, HIPAA/SOC2 compliance).
• Product Build: Lead development of MVP inside Epic (SMART-on-FHIR React app), backend orchestration services (Node.js, Postgres, AWS), and initial analytics dashboards.
• Integrations: Drive HL7/FHIR integrations with EHRs (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts) using partners like Redox/MuleSoft.
• Security & Compliance: Implement HIPAA, SOC2, and enterprise security best practices from day one.
• Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and lead the engineering team as we scale beyond MVP.
• Strategic Input: Work closely with the CEO on product strategy, roadmap, and investor conversations.
• Innovation: Guide evolution from deterministic orchestration rules → adaptive, AI-driven orchestration.
• Flexibility: As a startup, things are changing constantly. You will need to be flexible to address changing business need and priorities.
