Description

MesoMat is looking for ambitious co-op students to support our R&D program! We seek students who are ambitious, enthusiastic, willing to learn, and happy to work in a team environment. Roles and responsibilities are dynamic and can change rapidly, but as a software co-op student you will be involved in aspects of the following:

  • Designing, evaluating and testing novel sensing and analysis methods for predictive maintenance.
  • Designing various wirelessly-enabled electronic sensors (Printed circuit boards).
  • Developing, maintaining and improving embedded firmware for custom built sensing devices.
  • Building associated software to control and interface with hardware components.
  • Collaborating with members of our R&D team to better understand design requirements, and coordinate feasibility and delivery of future work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ideal candidates will have a background in Computer engineering, mechatronics engineering, engineering physics, electrical engineering, or similar
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a penchant for creative thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience with microcontroller programming (C/C++).
  • Experience with object oriented programming (Python or others).
  • Experience with electronic circuit design (analog / digital).
  • Must be available for a minimum of an 8 month term (longer terms are welcome and encouraged).
