Responsibilities
  • Support the management of change process by assisting with process design and documentation
  • Provide process engineering support to complete recommendations from process hazard analysis
  • Assist senior specialists in detailed technical evaluations such as catalyst, heat exchanger, and compressor performance
  • Provide process engineering support to capital project development and design
  • Complete level appropriate engineering studies, calculations, or modeling and simulation of chemical processes
  • Provide technical support to automated process monitoring applications
  • Collect data and develop an electronic process information database
  • Work under the direction of a licensed professional engineer who will take responsibility for the work products
  • Complete basic technical reports, analysis, and transactions by applying subject matter knowledge related to a Chemical or Process engineering typical of a professional engineer
  • Some field time in an operating unit, and at times will require some climbing of stairs, ladders and walking through plant operating areas
  • Travel, if required will likely be by car to various sites in Alberta
