Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, General Accounting, the successful candidate will work on daily task and projects in areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, capital assets and financial reporting. Responsibilities: Primarily support Accounting Payable team Scanning invoices to the automated AP system; Processing of invoices and purchase orders; Checking of reports; Monitor and processing emails in the accounting inbox; Vendor set up and modification. Communication with vendors and problem solving. Other vacation coverage and special project responsibilities will vary depending upon the projects, which are assigned, but may include reconciliations of accounts, analysis, Communication with other departments and problem solving. Verifying and entering journal entries; and Carrying out special projects or other duties as assigned which may include reconciliations, analysis, etc. All candidates must demonstrate key behaviors and meet identified expectations outlined in our four cultural pillars – one team, continuous improvement, customer focus and personal accountability. Qualifications: Completion of 2nd, 3rd or 4-year University in a Bachelor of Commerce program with a major in Accounting who is formally part of the Co-op program; Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive customer outcomes; Excellent organizational and time management skills; and Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
