Planning & Redevelopment Student
We have an exciting opportunity for a post-secondary student with our Planning & Redevelopment Team based at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Unity Health Toronto. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Planning & Redevelopment; this individual will have a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in their projects. The individual must meet the qualifications listed below and will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting space and furniture audits throughout the campus.
  • Confirming existing space allocation and usage.
  • Documenting space layouts.
  • Developing space plans.
  • Identifying vacant or under-utilized space.
  • Maintaining a database of information.
  • Producing reports on findings.
  • Updating and maintaining base building drawings
  • Overseeing Moves
  • Providing project support to other redevelopment staff as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

  • Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program in architectural technology or other related field required.
  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
  • Previous experience with database creation, and data entry required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required. Proficiency in Revit is an asset
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, preference will be given to those with previous customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Ability to keep information organized and confidential.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic and able to thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Researching and interviewing skills an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Satisfactory attendance record.
  • Reliable and Punctual
