As the Co-Ordinator, you will act as the critical link between the Support Office, Buying teams, and stores, ensuring alignment and consistency in the execution of product ranges, promotional activities, and merchandising standards. Your ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and drive operational excellence will directly contribute to increased sales, improved profitability, and an exceptional customer experience. Minimum Requirements: Matric is required Diploma or Degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, or related field is advantageous Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a retail management with focus in GMD Experience working with multiple store formats and regional teams Expected to Travel and sleep over depending on the nature of the project within the Region. Competencies: Strong organisational and coordination skills with stores and management. Motivate and communicate with GMD staff in stores to drive sales. High attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Collaborative and customer-focus driven. Proactive and solutions-oriented in decision making. Strong follow-through and accountability. Adaptable to a fast-paced, changing retail environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and utilise your initiative. Sound understanding of retail operations and merchandising principles. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of SAP. Understanding of GMD floor plans in conjunction with category management. Key Responsibilities: Operational Coordination Support implementation of category plans, promotions, campaigns and new product rollouts. Coordinate communication between stores, regional operations, and the GMD category management team. Ensure planogram compliance and monitor store execution through reporting and feedback. Assist with the setup and execution of seasonal campaigns and special projects. Ensure Standards and best practices is defined accordingly. Administrative Support Maintain accurate records of product listings, supplier information, and price changes. Compile and distribute weekly reports on sales, stock, and promotional performance. Track and follow up on store queries, product issues, and delivery discrepancies. Range and Merchandising Support Liaise with Category buyers and planners on product availability and store allocations. Support development and roll-out of merchandising guidelines for new ranges. Assist stores with all queries especially on planograms, space planning, and display standards. Provide input on store feedback to help refine assortment and merchandising strategies. Provide opportunities with buying office and vendors to create and improve sales. Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate closely with internal departments been Marketing, Supply Chain and Buying. Maintain effective communication with stores and relevant stakeholders to ensure operational readiness to enhance sales. Support coordination of supplier interactions and ensure adherence to company policies.
